At the heart of UCFs Urban Renewal Project, is service to our neighbors in Christ. We focus upon meeting the basic housing needs of Charlotte’s Urban Ministry Center’s chronically homeless program. In meeting these needs, it is our desire to develop relationships with brand new homeowners, who are now off the streets. Yet, most of these homes are in need of serious repair. So, let’s serve the way Christ served by providing for the physical spiritual.
- No experience necessary. Just bring a good attitude.
- No equipment necessary. You are the equipment.
- Prepare to get messy. Wear clothes you don’t care about.
- Remember the shoes: Don’t wear flip flops – you will get hurt if you do.
- Lunch is provided.
- Plenty of cool water is also available all day.
