White Memorial is now receiving applications for an opening as a Youth Ministry Intern. This is a full-time working and learning experience which is paid with benefits. The position is designed to be a two-year position with the possibility of it being only one year. A position description with application information is enclosed.
The program is now in its twelfth year and has proven very successful for the church and for all who have filled the position.
Interns are usually recent college graduates with a strong and growing faith. Most of our interns have had experience on staff at Montreat or a presbytery camp, and/or good involvement in a campus ministry. All interns have been interested in working with youth, exploring their own faith further and possibly a call to ministry.
Interns work in a collegial relationship with the Director of Youth Ministry and another youth intern. Usually, two interns are on staff, one a first-year intern, the other a second-year intern.
