CROP Walk is a community service and fundraising appeal for Church World Service, an organization of 36 denominations united together to relieve poverty, aid in development and provide disaster and refugee assistance worldwide.  The annual Charlotte CROP Walk is held in the fall. This 3.8 mile walk begins at 2:30 p.m.on Elizabeth Avenue.  This is a great event for the whole family! Please consider being a walker this year.  If you are unable to walk, sponsor one of UCF’s walkers. A quarter of the funds raised from this walk stay in Charlotte to benefit Crisis Assistance Ministry, Second Harvest Food Bank and Loaves and Fishes. The remaining 75 percent is used by Church World Service to relieve the tragic results of catastrophic events such as earthquakes, flooding and famine in more than 50 countries.
