We created Firefly two years ago and it has become a weekly after-school program geared toward children at-risk, in need, and facing the day to day struggle of poverty. Here students have the opportunity to share themselves through games, arts, music, reading, tutoring and the like. Our mission is to motivate and keep these kids active, providing them hope – a hope the world does not give, but only that can be given by God’s grace and love. This will greatly improve the morale of the people and shine a positive light on the community they live in. Let’s show them that we have not forgotten them.
