Mission Intern Program – United Methodist
The Mission Intern Program is a leadership development and social justice opportunity for young adults (20-30 years old). The three-year program is divided into a 16-month international work/study assignment and a 16-month action/education assignment in one’s own country. It is an opportunity for young people to hear the prophetic voice of communities and individuals around the world who are working for systemic change and to apply that experiential learning to their home context. The program encourages participants to learn about and live out the transformative gospel of Jesus Christ while working as grassroots organizers and/or advocates in areas of conflict resolution, peace, education, environmental justice, economic development, indigenous rights, and women’s and children’s issues.
US2 Program – United Methodist
The US-2 Program is a leadership development experience through peace with justice missions for young adults (20-30 years old). This two-year opportunity to serve in the United States encourages its participants to deepen their faith while learning from and serving with community based organizations. US-2′s will boldly reexamine their role and participation in society as they struggle with hunger, homelessness, HIV/AIDS, illiteracy, children at risk, substance abuse, racism, domestic violence, and inadequate health care.
Young Adults in Global Mission – Lutheran
The ELCA Young Adults in Global Mission (YAGM) program invites you to step out of your comfort zone and challenge yourself in a one year international mission service and learning opportunity. As you offer yourself in service, you will also learn more about yourself, your relationship with God, and your place in God’s world. You will make friendships across culture and language that will change the way you look at the world. You will be a part of a group of young adults who are open to being transformed by your experiences, equipping you upon return to provide a global perspective on issues facing the church and society.
